PRAY MUSKEGON:  August 2018

5 min    Praise

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.  Take some time to declare what you are thankful for in your life.  You could also sing some hymns or choruses.

5 min    Meditating on God's Greatness.

There is none like You, O LORD; You are great, and great is Your name in might. (Jer. 10: 6)
For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. (Ps. 96:4)
I said, "I beseech You, O LORD God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who preserves the covenant and loving kindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments,  (Neh. 1:5)
Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.  (Is. 12:6)
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. (Ps. 66:5)


5 min    Confession of sin

             Personal Confessions – Read I John 1:9, and offer up your personal shortcomings and  sins
             Corporate Confessions - for the church in our community:

Not walking in the God kind of love as we should.
Sexual sin in the church (Fornication, living together, porn, etc.)  (Eph. 5:3-7)
For sins of gossip or disunity within the church

Area Confessions – for our community:

For dishonoring those in law enforcement in our community
For not being grateful and thankful
Concern for our neighbors

5 min    Praying the Scriptures over our area.

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.”  Ephesians 1:18
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.” (Rom. 12:16)
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Eph. 4:32)
We pray for the peace and prosperity of our county that we are pilgrims in.  We pray for it to prosper and be in peace, in Jesus' name. (Jer. 29:7)
Father we declare that our city is rejoicing because it is going well with the uncompromisingly righteous. By the blessing of the influence of the UPRIGHT, we call our city EXALTED. Bless the upright people, leaders and businesses in our region.  (Prov. 11:10-11)
We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us, and us in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”  2 Thessalonians 1:12

5 min Praying over Specific Areas of Need in our County

Pray that truth will be revealed and justice will be done in a murder case in Muskegon Heights, and that the family will have peace.
Thank the Lord for saving the life of an infant that was shot last week.
Pray concerning the Primaries and November elections that God’s Will, will be done in our county, state and nation as it is in heaven.
We declare, “No more.” We stand our ground in Jesus Name, no more murders, not even 1. 

10 min   Interceding for Our Leaders - Call their names out to the Lord!     

Pray for wisdom for those in leadership in the police and Sheriff’s departments.
Pray for the new leaders in our Sheriff’s Department
Pray for refreshing and encouragement for our men and woman in blue.   
Pray for our first responders (firefighters, EMT’s, etc.)
Pray for clarity in the thinking and direction of politicians. Pray against doublemindedness even when politicians don't recognize it in their own statements and affiliations

5 min      Pray for Personal Petitions

Pray over for the construction of our new addition to be completed. Pray for men to come and get the work done.   I Chronicles 16:8-16, Nehemiah 3
The God of Heaven Himself will help us succeed; therefore, we will arise and build!  We will trust His Word and believe in the Sovereign Lord who always keeps His promises.  Nehemiah 2:20
Pray for restoration in the lives of the believers: health, relationships, finances, joy of God’s salvation, etc.
Pray for Bill and Lynne Stauter and their family.  Lynne’s mom passed away.  Pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit to be with them.

10 min   Pray for the Church in Muskegon.

Pray that Christians will have discernment and will actively oppose advances of socialism in politics and all aspects of our culture.
Pray that Christians will vote in the Primary. 
Father, help us to set aside our differences and look to the greater cause, the cause of Jesus Christ. 
Pray for special summer evangelistic efforts this month such as Camps, Vacation Bible Schools, Child Evangelism Fellowships, 5 Day Clubs, Crusades, and Outdoor witnessing.
Pray for the Unity concerts. Pray for the Holy Spirit's anointing on the performers and for holiness on their part.  Pray that it will be more than an entertaining show and that there would be lasting fruit.
Pray that believers in our county would have a greater awareness of walking in love with one another.
Turn your people back to you, sold out, on fire and renewed strength.
